Membership Information
PSIA-Rocky Mountain-AASI is a member organization comprised of teaching professionals. As the second largest of nine divisions of PSIA/AASI, the organization sets the standards for ski and snowboard instruction in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and part of Wyoming.
The Rocky Mountain Division has a tradition of innovation in the education of ski and snowboard professionals and utilizes The American Teaching System (ATS). ATS is among the most respected and progressive teaching systems in the world and is a student centered, experiential and outcome based approach to teaching.
As a member of PSIA-Rocky Mountain-AASI, you receive many member benefits and services to enhance your professional career.
Some of the benefits:
- PSIA-Rocky Mountain-AASI offers a wide range of clinics in all disciplines in an effort to introduce new teaching concepts and advanced education opportunities.
- Lift tickets are generously donated by the host areas at clinics and exams lowering the cost of events to members.
- Members have the opportunity to be come certified at three succeeding levels in all disciplines. Certification is a verification of your professional abilities and a sign of your commitment to the snowsports instruction profession.
- Members may purchase educational materials online, through the Rocky Mountain office or through the National office.
