What better way to spend a summer day than hanging out with friends and exploring our big backyard in western Colorado?
Join us for our Integrated Outdoor Adventure Day Camp for youth ages 14 to 25. Make your day an outdoor day!|
WHERE TO MEET
We will meet at the CDA Office, 740 Gunnison Ave., downtown Grand Junction, located in the Center for Independence building (map). We will shuttle to and from this location. All participants need to be dropped off and picked up before and after each event from this location. |
WHAT TO BRING
Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, medications in their original bottles, sunscreen, a towel, bathing suit, change of clothes, light jacket, appropriate clothes and shoes for the activity. This means good shoes for running and hiking, and secured waterproof sandals for water activities (no flip flops), warmer clothes for when we travel to higher elevation, and most of all, a good attitude and willingness to be flexible. WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED
Experienced, fun, safety-conscious supervision, snacks, water, sunscreen, insect repellant, life jackets, and misc. forgotten items. Please let us know of unique accommodations you may need. |
At Day Camps individuals with disabilities explore their abilities in a safe and therapeutic environment. Our camps allow participants the opportunity to work directly with peer volunteers, which in return provides an integrated therapeutic experience. We have a simple goal for our Day Camps: to provide opportunities for outdoor recreation through innovative, barrier-free environments.
