Colorado Discover Ability again has partnered with local health care providers from Grand Junction to design a unique 3-day camp experience for children 6-12 years old. This year, each 3-day camp is at Camp Redcloud near Lake City, in Western Colorado.

The total cost per child is $250.00, and this includes meals, lodging, activities and transportation. Scholarships are available by completing the pre-registration form below.
An experienced and energetic staff will provide creative activities and supervision. While each camp is roughly designed to accommodate kids with differing disabilities, the following guidelines are not strict. If your child cannot attend the camp that best suits their needs please be assured that he or she is welcome to attend the alternate date.
Camp activities include rafting, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, crafts, games, fishing, outdoor education, swimming and camp fires.
The summer 2008 Camp Freedom will include two, 3-day, weekend camps:
The founding volunteers have a wide range of expertise and experience working with children who have disabilities: physicians, nurses, as well as physical, occupational, speech, and recreation therapists. Colorado Discover Ability, an established adaptive outdoor recreation organization, will advise and support the camp in administration, logistics, and coordination.
To pre-register or to inquire about Camp Freedom, call us at 970-257-1222 or complete the inquiry form below.
To ensure that your child has a safe camp experience and that his or her needs are met, an additional, extensive questionnaire will be sent to you.
